| Surely this is a Tawny Eagle! A Brown Snake Eagle would show a bigger head/relatively smaller bill (note also the Aquila-hackles on the nape!)and would not show such a marked contrast between upperwing coverts and flight-feathers. Note also the prominent barring on one of the secondaries sticking out! The feet cannot be seen well enough in this image, but the long toes support Aquila, not Circaetus (which also would have a bare tarsus against feathered in Aquila). |
