A very surprising bird on a Danish field in midwinter! This bird wore a ring and is surely an escapee. The ring could only be seen at a distance less than 150 meters. The bird was probably first seen January 31st when a "crane" flew south only a few kilometers to the north of the field where it was found February 2nd.
