Under min ferie ved Egyptens Rødehavskyst ultimo september 2010 så jeg kun Sortvingede Braksvaler, men ingen Rødvingede. Denne art er også den mest almindelige af de to under efterårstrækket i Israel, er jeg blevet fortalt. Under forårstrækket i Egypten og Israel er situationen omvendt, idet Rødvinget da er langt mest almindelig.

During my visit to Egypts southern Red Sea coast ultimo september 2010 I only saw Black-winged Pratincoles but no Red-winged. This species is also the commoner of the two during autumn-migration in Israel I have been told. During spring-migration in Egypt and Israel it is just the opposite with Red-winged being by far the most common of the two.
