Picture info: |
This one day wonder was feeding amongst a Temminck's Stint and White- and Yellow Wagtails at Værnengene just south of the famous Danish bird reserve Tipperne all day on May 1st, 2001. It was aged as a first summer male because of dark markings extending from the nape onto its crown. It was very approachable and around 50 birders enjoyed excellent views of this rare vagrant in Denmark. It was the first to be twitchable in Denmark since 1997. Only two carloads from Sjælland went to see the bird although. |
