The bird was found in a weakened condition lying on land on the south side of Rømødæmningen at 08:10 A.M. and died at around 02:00 P.M. The deceased bird was subsequently collected and autopsied. It was determined during the autopsy that the bird, which was female, had died as a result of emaciation.
