Trektellen.org is ready to welcome Denmark!

Since early 2003 in The Netherlands we have used Trektellen.org to share our migration counts. It was so popular that, since then, we have translated the website into English, German, French and Spanish.
Many prominent birdwatching sites from these countries have now joined Trektellen to share their results with the community – for example we now have regular input from such great migration watchpoints as Le Clipon and Cap Gris-Nez in France, Spurn and Dungeness in the UK, about 25 sites in north Germany and all sites (including Breskens and Eemshaven) in the Netherlands and Belgium.

At this moment we have more than 600 sites connected! (see www.trektellen.org/kaart.asp). In addition, we have about 70 ringing
stations who are sharing their results online.

To make use of all this data, we have built a tool to enable users to manipulate it. For example the site can provide an overview of record counts, migration pattern, maps and graphs (all by site/country/species).

There is already a lot of information in the database from more than 300.000 observation hours, totaling more than 170.000.000 birds.
This winter Erik Agertoft and Terry Townshend translated the site into Danish so Trektellen.org is ready to welcome Denmark!
