From: R.R. Smits To: birdline@yahoogroups.com Subject: [EuroTwitch] Denmark Hi All Last week my brother and I were on holiday to Denmark. We spend our time with birding in the surrounding of Skagen in northern Denmark. The best birds we find this week are: A Red-rumped Swallow on Grenen on the 29th April. A very probably Sooty Tern flying over Osterklit camping south of Skagen on the 30th April. This bird was photographed (in field we could not exclude Bridled Tern, hopefully give the photo's a solution). A fly-by of a Short-toed Eagle on Grenen on the third of May. Here was also present an probably Italian Wagtail (photographed). Other nice sightings are the second year Golden Eagle (two times), Osprey (10 birds), Hobby (1), Honey Buzzard (circa 30), Red Kite (4), Peregrine Falcon (1), Merlin, Raven, Red-throated Pipit (2), Thrush Nightingale, Red-backed Shrike, Ring Ouzel (63), Parrot Crossbill, Black Guillemot, Waxwing, Hawfinch, Great Northern Loon, immature Glaucous Gull and many other birds. With kind regards Ralph Smits from Holland 7. maj 2001, 17.40 Artiklen er senest opdateret: mandag 7. maj 2001 kl. 17.40
