Det finske tidskrift Alula har netop lanceret et nyt bogforlag, og der er tale om et forlag med visioner. Første bog vil være en fotoguide til alle fuglene i WP. Nedenstående er hentet fra Alula's hjemmeside.
At the end of September in 2000 a new publishing company, Alula Press Oy, was founded in Finland. The company will concentrate on nature books, and the first big book published by Alula Press will deal with the birds of the Western Palearctic. It will be in A4 format and have over 1 000 pages and about 3 000 photographs of the same high quality as in Alula magazine. The book will cover the whole Arabian Peninsula and Iran, as well as the traditional Western Palearctic, and almost 1 000 species. Hadoram Shirihai and Lars Svensson are the authors, and some of the main photographers are Hanne and Jens Eriksen, Dick Forsman, Hannu Hautala, Tomi Muukkonen, Jari Peltomäki, David Tipling, Ray Tipper and Markus Varesvuo. As the number of pictures needed is huge, we will use pictures of many other photographers to ensure that all different plumages of all the species are included. The book will be published in July 2003.
