Hereby November 2013 Danish Bird News:
1st winter Pallid Swifts were photographed at Gilleleje, Nordsjælland on 2nd and 4th and at Samsø, Østjylland on 3rd. The returning drake Black Scoter was back at Blåvands Huk, Vestjylland on 2nd. Hawk Owls were at Store Hareskov, Copenhagen on 3rd and Råbjerg Plantage on 10th (hitting a window) and 16th. A late Glossy Ibis flew south past Nordmandshage, Nordjylland on 5th. A putative 1st winter Dessert Lesser Whitethroat ssp. halimodendri was ringed at Skagen, Nordjylland during 6th-30th.
Other November records include four Yellow-billed Divers, ten Great Northern Divers, three adult Black Brants, one Greenland White-fronted Goose at Store Vildmose, Nordjylland on 8th, 9 Red-crested Pochards, 11 Grey Phalaropes, three 1st winter Sabine's Gulls, 7 Baltic Gulls, three Iceland Gulls, ten Yellow-legged Gulls, up to five Crested Larks remaining at the sole breeding site at Hirtshals, Nordjylland, nine Richard's Pipits including a record four together at Skagen, Nordjylland during 1st-2nd, a record late Red-throated Pipit during 1st-10th at Skagen, Nordjylland, five Pallas's Warblers, one Yellow-browed Warbler, one Siberian Chiffchaff, 14 Nutcrackers, 256 Two-barred Crossbills and 27 Coues' Arctic Redpollls.
