	1	Vik/Myrdalur (S-Iceland), Island. The bird was originally thought to be a Red Kite but photos show that the bird is in fact a Black Kite. 3rd Icelandic record if accepted!. (SeK)

The species is not unknown in captivity, but earlier records from Italy, Linosa Islands and Sicily, as well as several records from Malta (for example 6 singles in 1977!) indicate true vagrancy potential!.
