Sunday, November 19, 2000, at 14:15 hours, Jan Bolding and his girlfriend discovered a male Desert Wheatear on the beach at Vejers Strand, Western Jutland. This constituted the 5th Danish record.
The bird stayed until Monday, November 20, 2000. This was the first Danish record since the heavily twitcheded individual at Nordenhuse, Fyn, which was present between March 16-29, 1997.
