If you want to look for Nubian Nightjar in Israel, contact Yoav Perlman (yoav.perlman@gmail.com), who is a key person on this rare species in Israel, and will ensure as little disturbance as possible. The breeding site is closed off to the public, because it is located in a mine field. The birds however, can be found resting on tracks nearby, using their large eyes to look for moth in the moonlight, leaping off into the air to catch them.
