Interesting to know that the immature male Snowy Owl, which is in Skagen
now, is with certainty the bird that stayed at the Uitkerkse polder
(West-Flanders, Belgium), from 19th November 2008 until 13th March.
This was easily confirmed by the extact pattern on the primary tips,
greater coverts, tail and head.
We aged it older than second calendar year as it shows nearly no head
markings, largely pale bases to the primaries and a very irregular
upperwing pattern.
