This beautiful jewel is in Australia only found in the northeastern parts of Queensland. It breeds in holes escavated in termite mounds from which the long, white tail-streamers sometimes can be seen protruding. At Kingfisher Lodge, Julatten this species can be seen very easily from approximately November to March. |
