A never-ending stream of these absolutely gorgeous gulls was moving north along the shore at Abydos Marina in El Gouna on the morning of 30 June. Not that many other birds were around. However, at least three Greater Sand Plovers had decided to spend the summer on the mudflats, in Egypt's unforgiving heat.
