| Dear JENS,
A WAXWING hunting Mosquitos ??
_______________________
Since my first meeting with the dwarf
Pratincole, length just 17 cm, on a beach
nxt to Singapore airport, I admittedly
have a weakness for this bird:
More rounded [buttede] forms than its
larger fellow species, black lore and
short bill.
KLAUS Malling Olsen's Assam bird, photo
19th Mar. '09 released my comments
'always a Beauty ...a bit like Waxwing'.
But Your lovely Thai photo, JENS,
truly demonstrates some convergence between
the small Tropical shore bird and a dear
Boreal Passerine
- on the wing, as when grounded.
Well, both species catch air-borne insects...

I can hardly think of other shore birds
associating with a passerine jizz,
apart from some Plovers/Wheatears...??
Thx a lot, JENS !
