This iceland gull shows some indications of being a kumliens gull. The primaries were the darkest feathers on the bird and it showed a fairly obvious tailband. But the bill was not totally black and the bird was rather light all in all - so it is somewhat intermediate between a typical glaucoides and a typical light kumlieni. Just in Klaksvík there were some 5 iceland gulls today. |
