Picture info: |
A 2cy iceland gull ssp.kumlieni and a 3cy iceland gull ssp. glaucoides. These birds represent the huge variation that the iceland gulls show - as some 3 cy birds are very pale turning almost entirely white during summer and some kumliens gulls being very dark (and sometimes resembling thayer's gull). This kumliens gull is somewhat intermediate as both paler and darker birds are seen - the dark birds being much less common the the pale ones though. |
