Appearently a very scarce migrant to Turkey and according to some turkish birders this is only the second time a baillon's crake has been photographed in Turkey.
It was a very nice surprise to see spotted, little and baillon's crake within 10 meters distance - all giving superb views. Baillon's crake was surprisingly easy to distinguish from little crake as it appears much darker than little crake and at least this individual was only about 2/3's of the size of the little crakes.
This images - and many more - were obtained by sitting down in a ditch and just wainting for the bird to pass. And it did within 2 meters distance!
