| Fine close-up of this small, widely distributed,
inquisitive bird. The above should be ssp abessinica
(Zedlitz 1911).
Saw ssp griseigula (Kenya) Male in - to me - a unique display-flight,
flying some 20 cm Straight (lodret) up and down from a
twig approx. 10 times, and then mating with the
female, sitting vibrating close by on the same
twig.
NB : Pakenham described a very special nuptial flight
for C. brachyra!

Its an error to state brachyura (= Green-backed C.) under 'Title'?
I have some difficulty with the meaning of CAMARO
in (genus) Camaroptera [-ptera is Gr. wing or feather].
Can somebody translate Camaro- ?
