A good compensation, this bird scared a Ruddy-breasted Crake (a life bird for me that day) that was standing at 3 meters of my hide, I was slowly mooving my camera to take my pictures when the Coucal lands in a tall of grass just over the head of the crake, the latter one dissapeared and I guess has wait a long time before come back to this water hole.
The Coucal was quite cooperative, so I've got a nice set of pics with good posture as a revenche, even I guess I would have prefer a close-up of the Crake.
