Hi all,
I am sorry to say, but in my opinion this bird is not a Mountain Buzzard, but a juvenile Augur Buzzard. You can see it is a juvenile by the uniform and rather pointed upperwing coverts. It is too heavy for a Mountain, which is smaller than a Common Buzzard, it is also too white below for a Mountain. The most important things to note in this picture are, however, the clearly barred secondaries, which is typical of Augur (uniformly brown in juv oreophilus), as well as the new blackish scapulars on the back should be brown if oreophilus).
Mountain Buzzard is a species of forested mountains from approximately 2700 m and up, and probably never descends to the savanna.
