Jeg har sendt gåsen ud til folk der er meget inde i hybrid og afvigende gæs og svarene går på at det nok er en Knortegås x Rødhalset gås. Den hvide halstegning går ikke kun nedad og bagud men også opad, kinden er lysere end, bagsiden af halsen og "kronen", den lille størrelse stemmer også godt med indblanding af Rødhalset gås.

Jeg så samme fugl på forlandet ved Sneum Sluse 13.4, og idag (26.4) så HHN den igen her.

Interessant nok, så gik den Rødhalsede Gås sammen med Knortegæs på Rømø i dag.

“Well, personally I would now consider it to be a "presumed/probable Red-breasted x Brent Goose". On one of the new pictures, the third one from the top, one can see all the white lines which surround the red cheek area in the Red-breasted Goose. I think the only possible explanation for that is that the bird is a Red-breasted Goose hybrid. The Brent Goose component is obvious. Like in previous pictures, this one also gives a (still not convincing) impression of a somewhat paler area corresponding to the white spot near the base of bill in the Red-breasted. I have not looked in detail but so far I think wings and body colour also are also compatible with the idea of Red-reasted x Brent.
The degree of classification confidence is clearly better than "probable" and should in my opinion be "presumed" = "probable" Red-breasted x Brent Goose".
