Many of the national parks and nature reserves are within easy reach of Morocco. In order to enjoy the natural wonders of the Morocco to the full, it is wise to employ the services of an experienced guide who will look after you and help you make the best use of your time.
Best regards,
Brahim

In 2005 we went to Morocco/Agadir along the coast down to Goulmime and south against Tan-Tan. This is not to difficult to drive and finding your way in a hired car, easy roads and lots of birding trip reports about the good localities.
Since we were 5 persons on this trip to Atlas mountains and the desert Erg Chebbi etc. we choose a guide/driver because these localities a much more difficult , and only a little moore expensive considering the problems of finding the right tracks in the deserts, without loosing to much time at the wrong places.
Brahim from Birdinginmorocco met us in the airport, had a car ready, and had arranged all hotels, including all meels. He`s knowledge about esp. the desert regions saved us a lot of time finding the best localitie,s and we got “Full House” finding all the target birds and subspecies we hoped for, that were possible on this time of the year ( seebohms seems to best in april)
Thick-billed lark
On the locations we also had many other nice birds: Hoopoe lark, cream-coulered curser, African blue tit, longbilled crested lark, desert lark, bar-tailed lark, lesser short-toed lark, marbled duck, tristams warbler, fulvous babler etc.
We can only recommend Brahim. Its possible to get both "full packet tour" or if you drive yourself one or two days.

PS
I`ve been asked, if you drive by yourself, where to choose Brahim for guide a day or two if you drive by yourself:
Between Marrakech and Erg Chebbi, I would suggest him for knowing good localities of Pharaoh eagle owl, magrebs wheatear, scrub warbler the race Saharae whitch is different from the one you see south of Gouilmime on coast, race Theresae.
In Erg Chebbi a day for the two target species african desert warbler and desert sparrow. they can be tricky.
We birded Morocco on our own in feb 2012. In the Rissani - Merzouga area (Erg Chebbi) we hired Brahim for 2 days.
We met him the day before, and we went immediately to a place, where he knew the Pharao Eagle Owl was to be seen.
On the second morning, we saw Desert Sparrow, Tristam's Warbler and Desert Warbler before 10 o'clock, all 3 because he knew where to find them.
We can only agree with Paul in recommending Brahim for this area.
If you want to see the "genuine" Houbara Bustard (not "only" the birds from the captive breeding/reintroduction programs), you should contact another Brahim, owner of Auberge Caravane in the same area.
