| It is a Formidable photo, CARSTEN!
[ PETER:
Sorry for again being late after
an off-line stay, abroad... ].

The twist of its head and an alert, huge
eye - with glow(!),
Exposed new wing-tip and slightly spread
[in moult, cf. PETER above], aaaalmost
Cisticola-like undertail feathers [ cf.
Roberts, S. Afr., plate 41, 1940 ]
Sharp, contrasting dark spots,
All framed by Illuminated contours, incl.
toe nails (!),
In non-competing surroundings (dark twigs),
- make the inconspicuous Tree Pipit Elegant,
with marked Character and EXPRESSION, and
fine colour shades in the Indirect Light!

It is an ART to display such Qualities in a
'plain' bird in Grib Skov - i.e. vs. a
picturesque Bee-eater or Lammergeier.
Congratulations with a Rare photo!
