| This doesn't seem to be identified correctly. I believe it is a juvenile Eastern Imperial Eagle.

Hvordan udfra billedet ser du forskel på St.Skrig/fulvescens og Kejserørn..?

| Check nostril shape, structure and the heavy streaked underparts, to mention a few features, and the other two pic of the same individual. Then you would land on EIE as mentioned by Sebastian.

| Exciting large raptor, on PAUL's 2 photos.
According to KAZMIERCZAK 2000, EIP is a rare visitor in
NE India,
whereas wintering Greater Spotted and Steppe Eagle
appear regularly in ASSAM.

| Many thanks to the experts, Sebastian, Jan, and Brian for identifying this bird. I have to admit that I am not too hot on these immature raptors. As Carsten pointed out, kazmierzaks book puts EIE as almost non-existent in the region....and that sent me barking up the wrong tree.
