Jep, jeg ser det samme, hvis man googler Giftun Island får man en masse billeder af strande med turkis-blåt hav, kunne det tænkes at være genskind(eller hvad det kaldes) fra disse?

Hi Guys, interesting comments. I can't say I can see it on my screen but yes Andreas, the water around the Giftun Islands is incredibly turquoise blue. In the field the bird showed light grey lesser coverts, very distictive white inner greater covert panel and slightly darker grey secondaries forming the trailing edge. Sterna repressa was a life bird for me so initially I was scrutinising them with S. hirundo and found the best way of sorting them very quickly was the underwing pattern. Hope that helps. regards Dave.
Really can not see it Dave? Are your screen CGA or just monochrome? :-)
It is very visible from here, but a nice pic anyway.

Hi Jan, maybe monochrome is a problem for blue :D Can you look and see if it is the same on the web page for me please?

Let me know. I have just found my way around cameras and starting with processing but calibration of screens is still way out of my league so maybe I do have a problem.
If You can not see it on Your own screen You need to calibrate it. There should bee links on google that can guide You trough the job...
Kind Regards
Nis

All, thanks - I am definately the loser here. My son has just said the wings are greeny blue. Maybe for me it is the power of suggestion I will get my colours checked!
Cheers
Dave.
